AEO Audit
The AEO Audit scores how ready a site is to be discovered, understood, and cited by AI search platforms. It checks your pages across five categories and gives you a prioritized list of fixes.
Categories
| Category | What it checks |
|---|---|
| Discovery | Whether AI crawlers can find and access your content |
| Structure & Schema | Structured data, headings, and machine-readable markup |
| Content Quality | Clarity, depth, and answer-focused writing |
| Technical | Crawlability, robots rules, sitemap health |
| Server-Side Rendering | Whether content is visible without executing JavaScript |
Most AI platforms don't run JavaScript when crawling. If your key content only renders client-side, it may be invisible to them even though it looks fine in a browser.
Reading your score
Each check passes or fails individually, and rolls up into a 0–100 score per category and an overall score.
- 80–100 — strong, AI-ready
- 50–79 — partial issues, worth fixing soon
- Below 50 — significant gaps likely blocking citation
A high score doesn't guarantee citations — it means AI platforms can read and understand your content. Whether they choose to cite you also depends on relevance and competition, which SRO Analysis measures.
Fixing issues
Each failed check expands to show what's wrong and why it matters. Work through checks in order of impact — Discovery and Technical issues typically block everything downstream, so fix those first.
